Safety & Environmental protection

Roche has been engaged in the promotion of health in Switzerland for over a hundred years. And, for just as long, this sense of responsibility has also extended to the safety and protection of the natural environment.

All our sites in Switzerland have offices responsible for risk management, incident management, health protection and waste disposal. This means that safety and environmental protection are integrated components of all our activities.

JEach and every employee helps ensure that the consumption of resources, harmful impacts on the environment and accidents are kept to a minimum.

The most important facts and situations are summarised in annual reports. Read the corresponding report on "Safety and the protection of health and the environment at Roche Basel in 2009" (only in German / detailed data).

You will find further information on Roche activities in the fields of safety and environmental protection on the Roche Corporate Website.

Roche is committed to the ambitious goal of reducing energy consumption per employee by ten per cent by 2010 (from 2005 levels).
