Our social responsibility

At Roche in Basel and Kaiseraugst, we work closely with partner organizations in the following four areas.

• Community and environment: Projects such as ‘Mein Baum, dein Baum’ promote urban greening.

• Humanitarian and social concerns: Together with the ‘Gesellschaft für das Gute und Gemeinnützige’ (GGG), we support people affected by poverty and socially marginalized people. We also promote socially inclusive community projects in the field of sport, such as the Surprise Streetfootball EURO 2025.

• Science and education: Programs such as the Science & Fiction Festival or the Industry Night awaken young people's interest in science and technology.

• Art and culture: We promote contemporary art projects and young talent, for example at Theater Basel and the New Orchestra Basel.

Volunteering enriches the common good and personal life. Our employees learn new skills, build valuable networks and develop a strong sense of belonging. We support such activities financially and organizationally, for example through assignments with the Swiss food bank ‘Schweizer Tafel’.

To strengthen our social responsibility, we place a special focus on ethics.

Our aim is to ensure that our actions at Roche are always in line with our corporate values (integrity, courage and passion). We support employees in integrating ethical thinking into their day-to-day work and thus creating a meaningful working environment.
