Roche is increasing the payroll for its workforce of around 14,000 employees in Switzerland by 1.15% with effect from 1 April 2020. This latest increase acknowledges the great commitment of our employees and creates the conditions for Roche to develop in Switzerland in a sustainable, attractive and competitive manner.

Over the last few weeks, the Roche Employees Association (AVR) and the Roche Basel Works Council (AKR) held intense negotiations regarding the adjustment of the 2020 payroll. The outcome presented here was achieved with the agreement of the AVR. Unfortunately, an agreement with the AKR could not be reached. The involved parties emphasize that the negotiations took place in a spirit of commitment, fairness and constructiveness.

The 1.15% payroll increase will be used to calculate the total amount available to managers for distribution to their staff in the form of individual, performance-based salary increases as of 1 April 2020.
