The premiere of the Haemophilia & Urban Art Tour at Bern station was a success and attracted numerous visitors right from the first brushstrokes. They were visibly amused by the artists' creative paintings in different styles. A draw decided who was among the lucky winners and who could choose their own artwork via buzzer and take it home with them.

Artists

In Bern, the following artists gave us a great experience:

  • DRÜ EGG

    After completing his training as a gardener, Dominik Rüegg studied 2D animation in Lucerne. Since 2013 he has been living and working in St. Gallen as a freelance illustrator, animator and artist. His illustrations are usually created spontaneously, without prior sketches and on location. The inspiration comes from daily impressions of the surroundings where he lives and where he travels.

  • PATRIZIA STALDER

    Patrizia Stalder from Basel in Switzerland is a designer with heart and soul. Her specialities are illustration, graphic design and artistic painting in public spaces. Various longer stays abroad in Cuba and Los Angeles have broadened her design horizons.

  • PHIST

    Phist is the Bern-based illustrator & graphic designer Philippe Stucki. He has diplomas. Besides drawing, Phist also likes some other things, like short-legged dogs, cheese, music, cold coffee, travelling and comedy - all this influences his style, executed with different techniques.

  • TENS

    Manuel Rohrer is a graphic designer from Bern. Manu unites his free works under the pseudonym "TENS", which he created over twenty years ago. The focus of his work is on hand-drawn typography. Be it in the form of a logo on a small business card or as a large mural on a building façade.

  • MICHAEL KÜHNI

    Michael Kühni was born in 1984 and works as an illustrator. He lives and works in Bern. His portfolio includes visual realisations on paper, which are both present on the internet and achieve their own effect.

  • MINDLESS

    Enthusiastic designer for 25 years, draws from the urban nature of man. Self-taught painter. Painting, drawing, murals, tattoos... to name a few of Mindless' favourite activities.

  • EMANUEL ROTH

    Emanuel Roth, born in 1987, is an illustrator and painter. He lives and works in Zurich.

    Zurich

    The second stop on the tour was the vibrant city of Zurich. Eight invited artists from the region turned the large train station hall into a creative happening.

    Lucerne

    The magnificent panorama with the lake and the nearby mountains inspired both the artists and the staff in beautiful Lucerne. At a light-flooded spot in a prime location at the SBB railway station, the Haemophilia & Urban Art Tour was staged with renewed motivation. The atmosphere between the visitors and the exchange with the artists happened soon after the first brush strokes. Once again, it was confirmed how creative and connecting it can be when some couldn't believe it for the sheer joy of calling a piece of art their own.

    Lausanne

    Lausanne with its urban flair offered the next venue of the tour, stationed in the centre at Place de l'Europe in the well-attended transit zone of the Métro Flon. An already well-rehearsed staff team, together with the invited artists from Lausanne, enjoyed the conversations with the visitors. Before the coveted art found its winner, everyone had to draw lots, choose a plate, press the buzzer and take their unique piece of art home with them.

    The venerable old station hall at Geneva train station provided the perfect backdrop for the last Haemophilia & Urban Art Tour event of the year.
