View series overview

The venerable old station hall at Geneva train station provided the perfect backdrop for the last haemophilia & urban art tour event this year. Artists from Geneva and the region from the graffiti and street art sectors painted very varied motifs and patterns with markers, rollers, brushes, etc., so that the individual works of art did not even find their way to the winners. Those who were lucky even got an extra signature from the artist as a gift.

Artists

In Geneva, the following artists gave us a great experience:

  • JAZI

Jazi has been involved in graffiti art since the late 1980s. Be it 2D and 3D realistic portraits, surreal landscapes or abstract patterns, he masters this technical challenge skillfully. He is recognised by his colleagues and sought after for his talent. Jazi has completed numerous commissions and experiments with different media such as canvas, paper and printing techniques.

  • TONES

Tones was born in Geneva and has been active in the graffiti scene since 2000. He is directly inspired by the traditional original New York style. In his paintings, he often combines letters with comic illustrations, which merge together in colour. Tone's graffiti focus mainly takes place on the street, where he can express himself freely. However, in the last ten years he has also participated in several gallery exhibitions.

  • REY ONE

Rey One was born in 1972. He has been tirelessly active in the graffiti and street art scene since the late 1980s. From 1989 to 1991, he painted in Geneva. In 1991, he flew to the USA to learn graffiti from its origins. After ten years of intense artistic life and an "Associate of Applied Arts" degree in visual communication, as well as a bachelor's degree in fine arts and illustration, Rey returned to Geneva in 2001. There he continued his artistic career with his colourful style of pure graffiti, illustration and graphic design.

  • DR. ACID

Stéphane Cruko aka Dr Acid lives and works in Orbe. A walking and versatile artist, he is involved in illustration, street art and fine art.

  • MINDLESS

Enthusiastic designer for 25 years, draws from the urban nature of man. Self-taught painter. Painting, drawing, murals, tattoos... to name a few of Mindless' favourite activities.

  • PHIST

Phist is the Bern-based illustrator & graphic designer Philippe Stucki. He has diplomas. Besides drawing, Phist also likes some other things, like short-legged dogs, cheese, music, cold coffee, travelling and comedy - all this influences his style, executed with different techniques.

  • EMANUEL ROTH

Emanuel Roth, born in 1987, is an illustrator and painter. He lives and works in Zurich.

  • CORSO BERTOZZI

Corso has enjoyed drawing letters since the age of seven.
