Inside Roche students edition 2025 - discover inspiration

On 5 November, the first Inside Roche students edition took place. With great energy and curiosity, around 200 students from various fields of study gathered at Roche in Basel to spend an evening looking behind the scenes, engaging in genuine dialogues, and experiencing the world of Roche firsthand.
Under the motto "Discover Inspiration," the evening offered a "Free Flow" format. This allowed students to create their own individual programs and focus entirely on their personal interests.
Moving insights: From AI research to personal exchange
In inspiring talks, Roche experts provided insights into cutting-edge topics. Students learned firsthand how artificial intelligence is used in research or what paths Roche is taking in the fight against antibiotic resistance.
Those who wanted to get involved themselves could learn new skills in hands-on workshops, whether in Design Thinking, strengthening their presentation skills, or dealing with mental health in demanding student and work life. The exclusive tours also offered the rare opportunity to visit areas that are otherwise inaccessible and to experience the research infrastructure live.
The heart of the evening, however, was the direct and informal dialogue. Whether in the "Just between us" corner, where tricky questions were discussed openly, or during the relaxed Pub Quiz – there were opportunities everywhere to strike up conversations with each other or with employees from various departments, hear personal stories, and make valuable contacts.
