Lausanne with its urban flair offered the next venue of the tour, stationed in the centre at Place de l'Europe in the well-attended transit zone of the Métro Flon. An already well-rehearsed staff team, together with the invited artists from Lausanne, enjoyed the conversations with the visitors. Before the coveted art found its winner, everyone had to draw lots, choose a plate, press the buzzer and take their unique piece of art home with them.

  • NICOLAS SCIBOZ (SYBZ)

    SYBZ was born in 1981 and lives in Lausanne. He has gained notoriety since the late 1990s by inventing and promoting techniques for intervening in urban space. These include wild posting, affixing stickers or redesigning advertising signs. Always in focus, developing a visual practice that focuses on the letter. For over 10 years, he has been recognised by his peers in Switzerland for his work on typefaces, his precise lines and the aesthetics of his work.

  • ANDRÉ HAPPERSBERGER (SHEM)

    Shem was born in Lima, Peru in 1976 and lives in Lausanne. He started drawing at the age of 3 and completed his art studies at the age of 10 at the George Washington School in Lima. For political reasons, his whole family moved to Lausanne in 1989. Some encounters in the local scene enabled him to take his first steps as a graffiti artist. Shem has been working on canvas for several years. As an experienced artist, he tries to develop his know-how through new techniques such as layering and transparency. He is constantly multiplying his styles, using acrylic, watercolour, oil and pastel to achieve the desired colours and textures.

  • LUC FRIEDEN (MEYK)

    MEYK was born in 1984 and lives in Bern and Lausanne. The artist graduated from art school in Valais in 2009. Since the early 2000s, he has mastered the use of spray paint. He is known for his fresco style, breaking the established codes and venturing beyond the classic aesthetics of graffiti. In Switzerland, he has been known for more than 10 years for his work in a surrealist "universe" that combines characters, letters, abstractions with his inimitable sense of colour.

  • BRENDAN DONNET

    Illustrator and motion designer from Lausanne. He not only creates portraits of strangers, but is also fascinated by socio-political commentary and Soviet-aesthetic inspired posters. His work is idea-driven rather than guided by a specific medium.

  • SANDRA CHEVALLEY (BOOSHER)

    Sandra Chevalley is a multi-faceted creative who lives and works in Orbe. Under the pseudonym Boosher, she explores a universe inspired by childhood memories and chimeras. This is how she creates alien worlds. In her daily work, she deals with illustration, street art and visual art.

  • SOPE

    Born in 1984, he took his first steps in the field of graffiti art and street art. Since then, he has been actively engaged in this field as an autodidact. He also enriched his portfolio with acrylic painting and illustration.

  • MINDLESS

    Enthusiastic designer for 25 years, draws from the urban nature of man. Self-taught painter. Painting, drawing, murals, tattoos... to name a few of Mindless' favourite activities.

  • PHIST

    Phist is the Bern-based illustrator & graphic designer Philippe Stucki. He has diplomas. Besides drawing, Phist also likes some other things, like short-legged dogs, cheese, music, cold coffee, travelling and comedy - all this influences his style, executed with different techniques.

    The premiere of the Haemophilia & Urban Art Tour at Bern Station was a success and attracted numerous visitors from the very first brushstrokes.

    The second stop on the tour was the vibrant city of Zurich. Eight invited artists from the region turned the large train station hall into a creative happening.

    Lucerne

    The magnificent panorama with the lake and the nearby mountains inspired both the artists and the staff in beautiful Lucerne. At a light-flooded spot in a prime location at the SBB railway station, the Haemophilia & Urban Art Tour was staged with renewed motivation. The atmosphere between the visitors and the exchange with the artists happened soon after the first brush strokes. Once again, it was confirmed how creative and connecting it can be when some couldn't believe it for the sheer joy of calling a piece of art their own.
